ISS microscope
Fully automatic microscope for the space station
ISS BIOLAB microscope
The microscope is part of the BIOLAB module on the ISS. The samples are transported into the beam path automatically. A 4-x lens changer makes it possible to view samples at a magnification of 4 to 40. The focus is adjusted by an autofocus algorithm. A condenser with 4 different filters adds to the functionality.
Development and manufacturing
CEMEC has provided the project completely mechanically up to the interface of the control system. Problem solving and development of the mechanical concept. Design implementation and documentation. Manufacturing and assembly of the mechanical and electromechanical components. Commissioning and final tests. Documentation. Manufacturing of all models, including the flight model.
