Development of the entire optomechanics
The camera is used in a cell phone with 5 and/or 8 MBit sensor. Important development requirements included the overall size and a simple installation concept. However, the accuracy requirements for the lens movement during focussing have to be met. Cost requirements for manufacturing and assembling have to be accomlished.
Simulation of forces and deformations when moving the lens assembly
CEMEC supplied the concept and complete development of the mechanical parts, including integration and design of the flexible circuit board with sensor and controller. The services package was rounded out by FEM modelling to ensure the accuracy of the focussing movement, prototyping and implementation support.
Prototype assembly of the pilot series – verification of functionalities and precision
Prototypes were manufactured using high-resolution sintering technology. CEMEC supplied prototypes, mold support, assembly jigs for ramp-up series production.
