Märklin Remote control

Design implementation and realisation

Housing for a remote control of Märklin toy trains.

CEMEC Services

Housing module with integration of the electronics, display and soft-touch keypad.

Design/housing concept, FEM modelling, filling simulation and selection of the plastics and sprue design, tool design, definition of the injection parameters. Supplying of the tools and pilot series

Noteworthy

Simulation of the load on the housing and testing against breakage.
FEM calculation of the stresses at maximum bending load

The development time for the entire module was extremely short. It was possible to manufacture the clear part without visible seams despite the many openings. The housing is extremely stiff and resistant to twisting despite the thin walls.
